It turns out they were guilty of price fixing during this time period, and they feel really horrible about the whole thing. To make up for it, they’d like to send you a check! (unless it turns out that they screwed over so many people that they could never pay them all without going bankrupt, which they amost certainly have, in which case they’ll just give all the money to charity and non-profits.)
