Anyway, trendiness aside, the aforementioned Bossa/80’s fusion by France’s Nouvelle Vague is so, so good. Joy Division, Depeche Mode, The Clash, The Cure, XTC, even Madonna! They’re all here, given the full-on breathy vocal, nylon string and vibes treatment.
