Everything Came Through Punk (Part 2.5)

I wanted to keep working on this epic post-in-progress that I’ve got going on tonight, I really did. I had all my tabs of source material open in Firefox, and I was trying to figure out which angle to approach it from, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t stumble back-asswardly into *another* great bit of writing that captured my attention and made me re-think all the stuff I was planning to say again!  Luckily, it doesn’t really call for any changes in the stuff I’ve already written, but *still!* It’s getting to be re-god-damn-diculous this “World Wide Web” thing. What with all its “archives” and “search engines” and “pornography” (lol)… How’m I supposed to get *anything* done!? Anyway, I guess I’ll just post a link to this thing I’ve been reading tonight, since it’s pretty to the point and maybe kind of tangental to the stuff I wanted to address in the main body of this (ongoing) post:

Bruce Sterling’s The “Wonderful Power” of Storytelling

[UPDATE] Oh, and by the way… Can you really believe that the I’ve been spending all this time on a post that draws parallels between net culture, gaming, and the punk / DIY ethic (eventually!) and the implications of the term “cyber-punk” have JUST NOW ocurred to me. I feel stupid… *and* contagious! =P
