Question

How many of the titles in this:

Christian Retailing: Top 100 Books

list, could also be applied successfully to a pornographic film? My favorites are:

  • 90 Minutes in Heaven
  • For Women Only
  • Come Thirsty
  • The Englisher
  • Celebration of Discipline
  • Lies Women Believe
  • Bad Girls of the Bible

In fact, even though it probably means something derogatory, I’d be pleased if people started referring to me as, “The Englisher.” LOL!

“0987234,” said Tom randomly

Alex Chilton – Volare
Adam Green – Choke on a Cock
Dr. Calculus – Moments of Being
Kevin Rowland – The Greatest Love of All

I was reading Scott Pilgrim the other day and saw a guy wearing a Sloan t-shirt. No big surprise of course, as Sloan are probably the most famous Canadian rock band since, uh… I dunno, Bachman-Turner Overdrive? But anyway, if you are not familiar with the group, I’ve unearthed a few choice nuggets from their catalog, that everyone might worship the majesty of Sloan.

Sloan – Deeper Than Beauty
Sloan – I’ve Gotta Try

And as a special bonus, here is what appears to be the only “real” (i.e. non-performance) Sloan music video on YouTube. Watch it now before Google deletes it or something!

What’s the Meaning of Life?

“The Universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whizz
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light you know,
12 million miles a minute, and that’s the fastest speed there is.

So remember when you’re feeling very small and insecure
How amazingly unlikely is your birth
And pray that there’s intelligent life somewhere up in space
Because there’s bugger all down here on Earth.”

Nerdcore

Did anybody else see The Killers on SNL this week? The singer used to look like he was all about Duran Duran with the eyeliner and frosted tips and that stuff, but now he’s going for more of the goofy moustache and glasses look, apparently?

The Killers on SNL

Anyway, they sounded pretty decent. And even though I do like The Eraser, I do have to agree with him about Thom Yorke. Oh well, at least we’ve got Muse.
