Was out on the balcony for a minute this morning and was sort of surprised to hear a man and a lady with pretty thick Irish accents having a spirited discussion on the balcony downstairs about the alleged lousy response time of Oakland police. Then I came inside and flipped on the television. There was nothing on so I decided to amuse myself with Comcast’s OnDemand service for awhile. After looking at some of the traditional BS that I’d encountered in my one or two previous explorations here (”Pants Off Dance Off” and “This Week in Music” from FUSE and VH1, respectively) I stumbled upon a channel called concert.tv that hosts a variety of interesting content including several full episodes of Later with Jools Holland featuring performances from British Sea Power, Elvis Costello, Muse and others. Sweet! And unlike some of the other “full length” content available on the service, all the shows on concert.tv are free. Way to be, concert.tv!
