And also: The Rat Cage

Damn, I don’t know what is up, but it’s Friday, and there is some *hilarious* and totally random shit on the internet today. First of all you’ve got this mp3 of a Michigan police officer calling 911 because he’s worried that him and his wife are OD’ing on pot. Not that there is anything “funny” about drug overdoses, but certainly anybody who’s ever smoked pot has probably had a moment where they’ve thought like… “Oops… I really over-did it this time. Maybe I should get some help!!” But then when you think about it a little bit more, you realize that you’re just paranoid and that calling the police would be a really bad idea. A few minutes later you’re fine and you can laugh about the whole thing. But the fact that this guy, who *is* a cop, actually went and called 911 just really cracks me up. And what seals the deal is about halfway through the call when he asks the dispatcher what the score of the Red Wings game is, as a sort of sanity check. Classic man… Just classic.
And then… just when you thought you were already suitably amused, this video comes along and suckerpunches you in the nuts. I’m a little conflicted about posting it here, because once you’ve seen it, you’re not going to be able to “un-watch” it. But to quote Fear and Loathing, it’s “a classic affirmation of everything right and true in the national character. A gross physical salute to the fantastic possibilities of life in this country. But only for those with true grit.” So… are you chock full of that? I sure as hell hope so man…

Cool video, but notice you don’t see them going *up* too many hills:
