Google Maps for Mobile Devices does cell-tower based triangulation now! Microsoft’s mobile map software supports this on Sprint phones, but not on my T-Mobile device. Which sucks, because in a lot of other ways the MS app is better. On mobile devices that is. As for browser-based maps, Google is still the undisputed champion and they recently some neat new features: Terrain & collaborative editing (so that users can help correct erroneous listings & locations).
